Jesus still calls people to follow him and to sit at his table.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

"Come, all you who are thirsty.”

“Come and eat.”

Which best describes you right now?

  • Following Jesus is much more than following a moral code or religious tradition. It’s following a person— and finding a new life and a new pathway forward.

Jesus is patient with us, but the Bible also portrays him as one who is standing outside the door. He’s knocking. When we open ourselves to Jesus, He promises to come into our life and eat with us.

Keep asking questions, keep your heart open, keep having conversations with friends who are following Christ.

  • Some of Jesus’ closest followers were doubters and skeptics. But they stayed close to Jesus, listening to his words and watching his actions as he traveled and interacted with every imaginable kind of person.

We can do the same. One of the best ways to get to know Jesus is simply to read and ponder his words and his life in the Bible.

    The books of

are biographies about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Each has a different perspective that is valuable to read.

As you read, pay attention to all of the invitations of Jesus.

Which one most connects with you?

  • Do you sense this is your time to personally respond to the invitation of Jesus?

We respond to the invitation of Jesus by faith. You can express your desire to trust Jesus through prayer. Prayer is simply talking to God.

    Here is a suggested prayer

“Lord Jesus, I want to come to your table and know you personally. I'm sorry for going my own way. Please forgive me for all my sin. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay for my sin. I want to turn from my old ways and begin to follow you as my Savior and Lord.”
